Both women and men are likely to suffer from different types of strange sexual disorders at one point in their lives. Any type of sexual dysfunction or abnormality that causes difficulties in any stage of sexual activity in couples is considered a sexual disorder. The most common sexual disorders are the sexual addiction, erectile dysfunction, dyspareunia, premature ejaculation, vaginal dryness, vaginal pain, vaginismus or vulvodynia. The risk factors are different on each type of disorder and they can be physical or emotional. It is brought into our attention that people suffering from different forms of anxiety or depression are more likely to develop a sexual disorder caused by emotional factors.

It is considered more a symptom for an underlying cause and it can be treated after the removal of the initial cause. Vaginismus is another sexual female disorder which consists in the involuntary contractions of the vaginal muscles. Penetration is painful and sometimes impossible for women with vaginismus. Vaginal pain may be a symptom of different conditions, from infections to dyspareunia. Vaginal pain during intercourse may be caused by vaginal dryness, which means that the vagina is not lubricated enough in order to allow painless penetration. Vaginal dryness may be as well a symptom of the female sexual arousal disorder. The female sexual arousal disorder is similar to frigidity, but a different medical condition than anorgasmia or general loss of interest in sexual activity. It is characterized by the persistent or recurrent inability to attain an adequate lubrication level of the vagina during sexual arousal and sexual intercourse. Women with vulvodynia experience chronic vulvar pain. It is a strange condition especially because doctors did not find a cause for it.

The hypoactive sexual desire disorder is a condition that can happen in men and women. The hypoactive sexual desire disorder is one of the many sexual dysfunctions characterized by the lack or total absence of sexual fantasies and desire for sexual activities. In order to be considered a disorder it must exist for longer periods of time and its presence cannot be a symptom for other medical conditions or a side effect from medication. Premature ejaculation is a sexual disorder in men which can lead to serious emotional issues. It is a condition in which the man ejaculates earlier than desired, both for him and his partner. It is a curable disorder which occurs to most of the men at least once in their lives. Its causes may be emotional or physical. The inability to maintain erection during intercourse is called erectile dysfunction , condition that can also lead to emotional issues or frustration since the man cannot hold an erection long enough to be satisfactory sexual performance. The sexual addiction is a disorder that affects more men than women. An individual is sexual addicted when he or she is not able to manage his or her sexual behavior.

Strange sexual disorders are common medical conditions that occur in most sexually active women and men at least once in their lives.
